Watch a preview for the 'Game of Thrones' Targaryen prequel book by George R. R. Martin

While we want for winter to be over, both for Season 8 of the HBO hit (out in 2019) and the next installment of the books, Winds of Winter (out never), why not some Fire and Blood?

The Targaryen spinoff title that takes place prior to the events in the main A Song of Fire and Ice book series by George R. R. Martin got its first brief preview on Friday. It isn't much, but we're ready to Dracarys all over this unnecessary yet still intriguing chapter in the Game of Thrones universe.

"300 years before A Game of Thrones, dragons ruled Westeros," the preview states. It also provides details on exactly what the Targaryen history book will cover, namely the reign of their house, from the original Aegon the Conqueror to Aegon III. Read more...
